Matthew Slater Signs with Accorder

Accorder Music announces the signing of composer Matthew Slater to its growing roster of accomplished film and TV writers.  Matthew has a wide and varied range of compositional styles – equally at home composing for feature films, long running television series, TV commercials, classical pieces and club dance tracks. The deal was brokered by Amanda Street of DNA Music (www.dna-music.com).

After studying piano, conducting and composition at college, Matthew went on to work with film composer and BAFTA Award-Winner Barrington Pheloung as Orchestrator and Music Assistant. This saw Matthew working on a wide range of television, film and theatre productions including:

Sharon Maguire’s Incendiary for FilmFour and Capitol Films, Anand Tucker’s And When Did You Last See Your Father? for Number 9 Films and FilmFour, Hilary and Jackie for October Films / BBC, Inspector Morse and now the spin-off series Lewis for ITV1, Mamma Mia, the Westend stage production.

 Matthew's work in the dance industry earned him numerous licensing deals including:

Clubbers Guide To Trance - Ministry Of Sound (Mixed by ATB), The Awakening - Renaissance Records (Mixed by David Seaman) and Reykjavik - Global Underground (Mixed by Nick Warren).

Radio plays have included BBC Radio 1, Virgin Radio and Kiss FM along with many international radio stations.
