(December 09) Calon TV, one of the leading UK children’s television production companies has appointed Accorder as its music publisher.
In January 2009 Calon (www.calon.tv), whose shows have been sold to over 100 international territories, won the Broadcast Trade Award for Best Children's Programme for the pre-school series Hana's Helpline (S4C and Five). The company has also just been commissioned to produce Zoo Factor for the BBC, a puppet spoof of the X Factor for 8-10 year olds. Calon is also developing a prime-time comedy with ITV and their latest pre-school animation Igam Ogam was premiered on S4C featuring the voice of Ioan Gruffudd. Calon, which was formed in 2004 has a long and distinguished pedigree in the children’s field. It was set up by Managing Director Robin Lyons formerly MD of the Welsh animation powerhouse, Siriol Productions from 1988 to 2005.
