Simon Forrest – Managing Director
Simon is a highly experienced media executive, with extensive operational experience in a number of media companies. He was Senior Vice President at HIT Entertainment (Bob the Builder, Thomas, Barney) and Commercial Director of The HTV Group. Originally a television journalist with Scottish Television and then ITN, where he was news editor of Channel Four News. Simon founded Impact Consultancy, a media sector corporate which advised a wide range of companies including Bloomsbury Publishing, Carlton Television, Portman Entertainment, First Independent Films, Trinity Newspapers and many more. He was also responsible for devising several television programmes including The Top Ten of Everything (ITV Kids) and The John Stonehouse Affair (ITV drama). His musical tastes are laughed at by his more sophisticated colleagues and the only music he will admit publicly to liking are The Eurythmics.
Anne Miller – Creative Director
With a rock music background, Anne is one of the founders of Accorder Music. Anne works closely with Accorder’s composers, creatives and development team and supports the music requirements for Accorder’s production companies. Anne founded Oldbrook Music Publishing in the mid 1990s representing some of the best UK TV & film composers. In 1999 she launched J Albert & Sons (a division of the oldest independent music publisher in Australasia: AC/DC, Easy Beats, and Strictly Ballroom) TV and Film division in London covering the UK and Europe. Anne’s desert Island discs would be Led Zeppelin (Stairway to Heaven), Archive (Remove), Albinoni (Adagio in G Minor), Outkast (Hey Ya), REM (Losing My Religion) and the rest all Bowie.
Paul Tracey – Business Affairs Director
Paul is a barrister and worked at County Bank, merchant banking arm of the NatWest Group, where he arranged tax-based financing on high budget feature films. He left to launch The AV Department, producing and recording soundtracks and music for TV commercials and programmes. He sold the AV Department to VTR plc (now Prime Focus London plc), one of the UK’s leading media services companies, of which he later became Chief Executive. He has been on the boards of a number of quoted and private companies and now advises businesses in the media sector on growth and development strategies, mergers and acquisitions. His responsibilities at Accorder include dealing with legal, financial and corporate matters. Paul’s musical tastes are eclectic, varying from Hendrix and Bizet, through Mozart and Captain Beefheart to Elgar and Lou Reed.
Simone Walsh – Copyright Manager
Simone is the latest addition to the Accorder team, bringing with her invaluable skills as a music graduate. A jazz musician by profession, Simone came to publishing through a love of music and a desire to support its creators. With a meticulous eye for detail and a work ethic that would put the honeybee to shame, Simone is enjoying spending time with her new best friend – the PRS Database. Her favourite people: Charlie Parker, J.S. Bach and the lads from Biffy Clyro.
Sue Crawshaw – Senior Consultant
Sue is a highly experienced independent music publisher and consultant working with a wide range of artists including AC/DC and Fat Boy Slim’s record label. She has lectured on behalf of the MCPS and the IMM (International Managers Forum). For three years, she was an independent lecturer at Red Tape Studios Music Training Courses run by Sheffield City Council and has been a guest speaker at ACM (Academy of Contemporary Music) Guildford , Surrey.
