Congratulations to Accorder writer Tom Howe who is co-composer on Aardman’s latest model animation comedy, Early Man, which premiers worldwide on Sunday 14th January.
Tom’s collaborated with Harry Gregson-Williams over a number of films and this score was recorded at their favourite recording studio, Abbey Road, in November over eight days followed by a further ten days mixing. Harry and Tom recorded percussion for two days, orchestra for five days and then a day with Harry’s regular choral collaborators, the Apollo Voices Choir.
The stop-motion animation is set at the dawn of time, when prehistoric creatures and woolly mammoths roamed the earth. It’s directed by Nick Park and stars the voices of Eddie Redmayne, Tom Hiddleston and Maisie Williams.
“Working with Harry, Nick and everyone at Aardman was an amazing experience,” says Tom. “They’re all at the top of their professions and worked tirelessly. I can’t wait for the release of the film”.
