Just launched in the US is Blink Films’ 6 x 60 series The Brain with Dr David Eagleman, the story of the inner workings of our little grey cells that takes viewers on a visually spectacular journey into why we feel and think the things we do. Newsday in the US called the PBS series “..an intellectual thrill ride!” The equally thrilling music is by Accorder composer Tom Howe.
The series, hosted by Dr. David Eagleman, neuroscientist and New York Times best-selling author, reveals the human story by blending scientific truth with fantastic visual effects and compelling personal stories. It’s an amazing and complicated world, and Eagleman keeps the subject entertaining and simple enough for most of us to understand. For instance, you’ve heard the expression: We only use 10 percent of our brains. Not true. “It turns out we use 100 percent of our brain all the time,” Eagleman says. “It’s always active.” This is a totally engrossing series produced to their usual wonderfully high standards by Accorder client Blink Films. Here’s a clip.
