Sandy Nuttgens is an award winning composer, music creator and multi-instrumentalist for film and television. His work is broadcast all over the world and spans drama, documentaries and animation for broadcasters including BBC, Sky, ITV, Channel4, FIVE, Discovery, National Geographic, Dreamworks Animation, NBC Universal, Hulu, ABC and PBS.

Hailing from ‘God’s Own Country’ (Yorkshire!) Sandy cut his teeth on radio jingles and commercials for local radio before moving into scoring to picture. Over the years he has scored numerous BAFTA and RTS winning television programmes, International EMMY nominees, and has twice won RTS Best Music Awards for his scores on Terry Jones Barbarians and The Queen in 3D.

His work includes The Last Days of Anne Boleyn and A&E in the War Zone for CH4 , The Billion Dollar Chicken Shop and Messiah at the Foundling Hospital for the BBC, Game of Stones for Discovery, The Zoo for ITV, and the Broadcast and RTS winning Jade: The Reality Star Who Changed Britain. Recent work includes Channel 4’s acclaimed documentary Peter: the Human Cyborg.

Sandy’s work for children’s television includes My Parents Are Aliens, Postman Pat, Big&Small, Dinopaws, Wildwoods, Floogals, Hetty Feather, Treasure Champs and the BAFTA winning Get Well Soon.
