Super-busy Accorder Client Indus Films is currently responsible for two of BBC’s highest profile new documentary series: The World’s Greatest Food Markets and The Mekong River with Sue Perkins. TWGFM is a highly entertaining tour round three of the world’s biggest and brashest food markets in New York, Mexico City and Delhi. The host for this fascinating three-parter is Roger Barton (pictured), a gruff, hard-grafting, hard-talking Billingsgate trader. In our humble opinion it’s one of the freshest and most interesting documentary series of its type around. In Roger a new star may just have been unearthed. He’s a sort of Alan Sugar but without the easy charm. Accorder composer, Douglas Black Heaton created the music for the series, not just writing the score but also performing on it as well. The Mekong River with Sue Perkins sees Sue tearing herself away from the cakes and pastries to explore the culture of one of the world’s greatest rivers through Vietnam, China and all the way to its source on the Tibetan border. The music for the series features a wonderful array of ethnic musicians playing traditional instruments.
