Stephen and Frank go for Gold

Congratulations to two Accorder composers Stephen Baysted and Frank Ilfman, who have been nominated for a Jerry Goldsmith Award. Stephen (pictured right) has been nominated in the Best Documentary category for his score to Renoir: Revered and Reviled, a fascinating insight to the great french painter’s controversial late worksFrank is nominated in the Best Film category for his score to Abulele, the acclaimed Israeli movie about a boy who befriends a mythical monster.

The awards commerorate Oscar winning Jerry Goldsmith, one of the greats of film and TV music who composed classic movies China Town, Basic Instinct, Alien, Patton, The Omen (Academy Award winner), Planet of the Apes, and five Star Trek movies. For TV Goldsmith scored such series as The Man from Uncle, Dr Kildare and Star Trek Voyager.
